    Thank you both. I am pleased how such old gear still performs well which I bought when it was first introduced in about 2008.

    Thank you. Tha guitar is a Yamaha MSG Standard from the 1980s :)

    A couple more from the Autumn sunset session with the D300 as the sun got lower and more orange. Grain is visible as the images are quite heavily cropped.

  11. Wonderful and rare - perhaps the best guitar Yamaha ever made and the most coveted (at least by me, but I play bass and dabble on guitar).

    Thank you all for your supportive comments which mean a lot to me.

    Ted (pictureted)... I agree with you that this is the best guitar produced by Yamaha and as good as any of the famous makes. In addition to this one I have an MSG deluxe with the Kahler style bridge/tremolo unit, but not as pretty as this Standard. Both fine instruments designed by English luthier Martin Booth and found for me. Good to hear you're active on the music scene:)
