I was out at the park Saturday morning so that a friend could try out the Nikkor 200-500 f5.6. We were there by 7:30 and the sun was trying to break through the fog. The first is just to set the scene. This is 40 Acre lake taken from the western bank.

Here are a couple of shots of the gator taken with the sun behind me (eastern bank of 40 Acre lake).

We tracked the gator for awhile. It had gone under some of the vegetation. When it finally emerged, it had plants stuck to it.
