Amish in Holmes County Ohio (lots of photos)

Discussion in 'Wanderlust and Travel' started by bobhoge, Jul 25, 2008.

  1. Nan and I took an overnight trip to Holmes County, Ohio, about a two hour drive from Columbus. There is a large Amish community there. The countryside is quite scenic, especially green this year with more rain than normal. This made for good photo opportunities.

We stayed in Millersburg and stopped in Charm, Walnut Creek, Winesberg and Berlin. I noted that many of the farms are off the grid and there are no powerlines along many road to get in your photos.

It made for a nice getaway,
