An evening with my kids, a camera, and 2 flashes.

We recently purchased a trampoline for the family. It will help Amanda with her gymnastics, Logan can burn off some of that energy he has, and we get a good workout. As soon as dinner is over the kids run outside to the tramp. I grab a camera, two flashes with clamps, and track down two sets of batteries that are charged. A few minutes of setup work and I grab a few of these....

Difficulty level is high as I was sitting on a moving trampoline.
    FinePix S5Pro    ---    17mm    f/4.0    1/250s    ISO 200

    FinePix S5Pro    ---    17mm    f/4.0    1/250s    ISO 200

    FinePix S5Pro    ---    17mm    f/4.0    1/125s    ISO 200

Soon the kids got tired of dad weighting the trampoline down. I was starting to get back into the CLS groove again. So I found a subject that couldn't say no to me and my camera.
    FinePix S5Pro    ---    27mm    f/8.0    1/160s    ISO 200

Then the kids took a break from their jumping. Logan wasn't in the mood but I did grab a passing shot.
    FinePix S5Pro    ---    22mm    f/8.0    1/160s    ISO 200

Then Amanda showed up and gave me a few poses. (Yes, I will delete the wires later.)

Wow! These are just excellent! You've totally nailed the lighting!

    Great subject too!
  3. Great shots, Charles. The last three of Amanda are very good, but suggest you consider cloning out the electric lines to clean them up a bit. Great series.

Thank you. I did mention that I would fix the wire later because I knew someone would say that. Just above the 3rd to last image.

You got it going on in this set Charles. I like the side netting on the trampoline.

    Thank you.

    Thanks. Normal for Logan.

Thanks Linda. First and 3rd to last are my favorites.

We wouldn't have one without it. Logan tested it within the first few minutes.

    Thank you.
  11. You have this whole flash, ambient light thing down pat Charles. Nicely done.
  12. Cute kids! Very cute shots!

Lots of practice. I started when Nikon first came out with CLS on the D70. Once I figured out what I could do with it I purchased 4 speedlights to play with.

    Thank you.

Thanks. There not bad for playing around in the backyard with the kids. I think they are acceptable.
