Ana all dressed up

  1. a strange bird the way they are like fish and eat fish, this time of year they get their breeding plumage on and I think they are beauties but they need a lot of lot and wind helps also

  5. These are fascinating! I saw my first anhinga in Florida and was amazed by not just the bird's physical appearance but the behavior...really an intriguing species!

    That third photo.....for some reason it just makes me chuckle! Beautifully shot....it's just the bird's expression and....that hair! LOL!!!

  7. You were fortunate to be right on the spot when the wind was blowing so that you could capture different perspectives and looks of an Anhinga than we usually see.....

    Randy nice shots. Do they not have a great eye, red with the blue ring.

    They have great looking eyes, I'll stop to just get a good face/eye shot
    I suspect the eye color diffs are due to plumage
