I stumbled upon an old post on John Nack's blog about color picker extensions for PS. One of the extensions showcased was the Anastasiy Magic Picker Color Wheel which brings the Corel Painter style color wheel into PS! It's been updated for CS5 and is only $14.
Corel Painter has been my go-to painting program for several years now. However, after the release of PS CS5 and the new brush engine, I find myself working in PS more for paintings than in Corel Painter because PS is a little more intuitive for the other things I need to do. However one thing that always bugged me was the swatch method of selecting colors in PS. Kuler made finding cool colors, um, cool, but I was really missing the Painter color wheel which was a breeze to use. Needless to say I'm a happy guy after finding this and thought I would share.
