Another Black-bellied plover

Discussion in 'Birds' started by Allan, Sep 2, 2008.

  1. Shot yesterday morning about an hour after the seal which I posted in animals. The light was still at a good angle though I was running out of time.

I waded into the water and shot back towards land. Now I have to deal with a tripod with water in its legs.

  2. Sorry to hear about your tripod, but you NAILED this shot!
  3. hard to find something to complain about here! Lovely color as well!
  4. Sweet light, nicely done.
  5. Nailed it! That's about as pretty as a juvenile BB Plover can be!

    A) Great shot

    B) Simply unscrew the feet and drain the legs....extend them fully and then hose the lower legs down. I do it all of the time. They no longer use fiber bushings on Gitzo legs and they are now plastic, so it's not a problem.
  7. gorgeous shot, allan

great bit of advice from Jim...
    i'll use that as well
  8. You do what you have to do to get a shot like this, you nailed this shot. Well done.
  9. Great capture Allan. Really love the light in this one.
  10. A - thanks

B - I got one piece off easily, one with some effort, and one I could not get off.
