Featured Another day at the Mach Loop

Discussion in 'Transportation' started by Ogof Mole, Nov 17, 2017.

  1. Last Wednesday I popped up to the Mach Loop in Wales to sit on the side of a mountain and see what passes by. All shots taken using D500 with Nikon 300mmVR f2.8 lens.

  11. It is always nice to see them flying in their natural environment rather than only seeing them at airshows.

  14. From where we park about 30 minutes climb, but it can be hard work carrying all camera equipment, food and drink for the day plus a small tent for when the weather closes in as we are up in the mountains.

I am so envious of your spot. That would have to be my number 1 vacation spots. Great shots!
No intent to take away from this fine post but others may want to check out the youtube vids of this same spot. search youtube for mach loop.

    Barry,
I'm a little surprised no one has mentioned it and I can't be the only one seeing this but the pics look relatively blurry. It may be that it is just the ones you posted but its almost like they are cropped too much or something. The helicopter is the one that is the most sharp.

  20. Hi texfoto, thank you for your comment and I'm always striving to get sharper images as I'm sure we all are. But I never upload anything bigger than 1000px along longest side and at 80% quality to the internet which may not give the best viewing.
