    My first, official, 'business' weekend at the track fizzled out. went Saturday, but the races were cancelled due to low turnout. Sunday is the big day. I knew that, but thought I would go ahead and go to the second moto session, since I had a T_Ball game to shoot that morning. there were many riders practicing. so I decided to go ahead and shoot, and scope out potential places that I would use on race day, other than the first turn.:wink: I was wanting to find spots with good, clean backgrounds. I shot a bunch, and passed out some cards. I was very well received by the riders and the track people. :biggrin: they've been wanting someone to shoot the races.

    anyway, here's some of my favorites from the day;

    Great shots Jim, I like all the mud you got in #4.
    Sounds like you will be spending more days at the track...congrats!

  4. Nice shots Jim.

  5. Haha, I love the cringe the guy has on his face riding through the mud in #4!

    How close can you get to the track there? From some pictures it looks like you can get right up, but others it seems you are stuck quite far away (a lot of 200mm Exif data I'm seeing)
    Don't you love the 80-200 f2.8? Its such an amazing lens!

    Did you take any on Sunday aswell?

    Thanks, lex. some places you can get close, some not so close. I'm pretty sure that on race day, I'll have full access to any where I want.

    that lens is excellent. I've had mine for several years. why haven't you added it to your sig line? :wink:

    Sunday race was cancelled due to rain. race again in two weeks.

    I've often wondered about that camera cover in your avatar. do you keep it in all the time?
