    HB-47 AFS 50/1.4
    HB-46 AFS 30/1.8
    HB-45 AFS 18-55VR
    HB-44 new lens ??
    HB-43 45/2.8 PC-E
    HB-42 60/2.8 micro
    HB-41 24/3.5 PC-E
    HB-40 AFS 24-70/2.8
    HB-39 AFS 16-85
    HB-38 AFS 105/2.8 VR micro
    HB-37 AFS 55-200VR

HB-44 is unallocated, maybe it is for a net unreleased lens. Even other bayonet hood number is allocated except HB-13 and HB-9. Number 13 is sometimes left out for superstitous reasons, maybe 9 was allocated to a lens which never made it to market?

    The 18-55 VR has a lens hood?

I was looking at the 35/1.8 page and clicked on a link showing compatable lenses with the rear cap accessory (lol...) and I think the picture is wrong but:
    http://www.nikonusa.com/Find-Your-Nikon/Product/Lens-Caps/607/LF-1-Rear-Lens-Cap.html

After looking at that page, it appears the list of lenses is in order from oldest to newest updated, basically going in order of release date, from what I know. However, at the end, right before the 35/1.8 and right after the 50/1.4 is the...20mm f/2.8 AF-D? How did that get there?

If no one else has any other ideas... perhaps it's next on the update list. Although personally I'd think Nikon has a few more primes to tackle before that one, like the 85's. Just an idea, I obviously have no evidence. But it does seem a bit strange that there's a missing hood, and this AF lens in the middle of AF-S lenses.

  3. Yes. Not that you get it with the lens, though - its an optional extra.
