I wasn't going to shoot any more of these until I found this. It took several tries over a couple of days to get it even halfway right. But, it's a monster (in my yard anyway) measuring close to 7 inches in diameter. Aside from its size, I was intrigued by the swirls and patterns of its petals.

Splendid! Does it smell as beautiful as it looks? Peonies usually do! Thanks for sharing.

    OHHHHH yes Bob,

One of my favorites as well.

We had those in NH and they were huge like yours. Sure miss them

    Wonderful job, great color

    Thank you for sharing.
No one else I can remember has posted any.

    So keep them coming.

    Thanks Leigh and Gale.

Yes, they do smell nice, but they just don't last long. If you look at the photo, I think you can see that this one was starting to deteriorate -- today, it's well past its prime.

  5. Nice shot of a peony Bob. You have taken advantage of the petals circonvolutions to make a pretty picture. Good work.

Thanks Dao. The plant did the hard work, I just observed.
