Oh yeah!!! I see that you didn't burn out highlights on your white aircraft like I did. You need to give me some pointers on how to set upmy camera. Nothing at all wrong with these images, Mike. That guy flying the Oracle plane is unreal...talk about "NO FEAR"!!!

  3. Mike, these are great shots! They look pretty clear to me which makes me wonder if you cropped them a bit how they'd turn out. I like the shot with the curly-q smoke trail! ;)

    Nice shots, Mike! Great captures.

  5. Gee Mike, these are quite good. The barrel role image is really fun and I really like image #3 as well. Good job.

    Frank,
As you can see, it's a different take than your great images.

    Kevin, Don & Gordon,
    Thanks for the kind words.

    Todd,
I think it happened way out over the lake. Us poor folks on the shore wouldn't be able to see that.

The image of them making contact was captured by a magazine photog. It aired on the local news.

I have to leave that answer to Frank. While I enjoyed the air show, it was for photographic reasons ..... . Frank may have been close enough to see the name of the ship.
