The many male Fur Seals were waiting for the girls to arrive. They were VERY territorial and aggressive. You did not want to get close:

These Elephant Seals, by contrast, had finished their breeding season and were blissful:

One of the big 8,000 pound males would occasionally put on a token show of aggression:

wow 8k LBS. Hard to imagine. Guess you have to see to know the impact of the size.
