Anyone Have a Ballhead Repaired?

About three years ago I was given a Feisol carbon fiber tripod with a Markins Q10 ballhead. The ballhead has begun sticking pretty badly and I'd like to get it repaired. I'm waiting to hear from Markins but in the meantime I was wondering if anyone here has had one repaired.

Years ago I had an Arca Swiss B1 repaired after it and the tripod fell in Death Valley! No way could I get out all that fine sand.

have you tried the WD-40 treatment outlined in the user guide?

I would ask the manufacturer.

It was a thought but after I hear from Markins. *I saw that it the guide, tried it, and it was the solution. Thanks!*
