Anyone use follow-focus with manual lenses on Nikon DSLR

Discussion in 'Other Cool Gear, Camera Bags, Camera Straps' started by GonzoBernelli, Jan 16, 2018.

  1. Whatever it is should be able to attach to RRS L-bracket, side or bottom and itself has Arca-Swiss dovetail to attach to RRS clamps.

Please post links to products you use or recommend.

    TIA

  2. I don't use follow focus, but all of the follow focus setups I've seen are mounted on 15mm rods. The Arca-Swiss system as used by RRS and many others is primarily oriented for stills shooting. Most video equipment and accessories are 15mm rod based. My solution is to add an A-S clamp to the video camera plate. That lets me keep my RRS camera plate, but gain access to the video stuff.
