Aperture and iPhoto for storage

Anyone using aperture or iPhoto for video storage?

I've done it in the past, but I noticed my preference is to store them in iMovie. This works out great for me especially since I recently started storing them on an external drive to port them quicker from computer to computer.

great idea. i need to find a cheap external for just that purpose. does final cut pro x allow you to keep a "library" like that as well?

I'm not yet happy with final cut X due to the reference library that it likes to use. I would assume if your import is directly from camcorder/video camera to FCP X then there should be no problem.

I bought a 750GB Portable Bus-powered Gdrive for use with my laptop. Works pretty well.
