Apple grower's will know all about these 3 pic's

    Taken in Eastern Washington, by Lake Chelan. What a great area. The only thing is the apple industry there is economically struggling. The second pic is a smudge pot, used for heating under apple tree's when the frost is present. The third pic is like a huge fan to also keep the apples from freezing. There are several per acre.

    I'm not an apple grower, but I do know what a smudge pot mom grew up in Florida and they have the same things for orange groves. Looks like you live in a beautiful area...thanks for sharing your photos.

    Beautiful country.

    I really like the first image.

    In Florida, the citrus growers go through the same thing..

    Many groves have been whipped out in hard freezes..
