Arca Swiss D4 and D4m available

The Arca Swiss D4 and D4m are finally available!

Pricey? Yes, but not when compared to the Arca Swiss C1 Cube.

If you plan on ordering, however, be careful which combination you pick. The D4 is the geared head and the D4m isn't. The following link has more details on these two heads:

To make things even more confusing, Arca Swiss has been introducing a new proprietary clamp called the "MonoballFix." The MonoballFix IS NOT compatible with the de facto "Arca Swiss" plates that we have come to know and love. It uses an incompatible, narrower clamp, so you will probably want to avoid it. You will want the "Quick set device classic" which uses a conventional clamp or the "Flip-lock" which uses a lever (but which I feel is not very user friendly).

I've had the classic D4 on "pre-order" with Rod Klukas in the US since February, but haven't gotten word yet that they are available in the US yet. At least I'm now encouraged they can actually make the D4. Thanks Isamu for the update.
