May I introduce my son, Olivier (almost 15), drummer, hockey player,
archer, gymnast when i's got time. Possibly, he is the one who will kick
me out of my trade because of his passion for photography!

This was taken this afternoon:

Beautiful pose, timing and tones. I would like a little crop off the top and a crop off the bottom to above the short.

Excellent work! Although the shorts are a bit of a distraction, cropping them would lose some of the arc of the bow, so it is a toss-up.

Thank you all, Tri, Merlin, Paul, Bart and Dossy for your comments.

As a retired junior hockey trainer, I still overlook the personal trainings of
both my sons. This afternoon, as Olivier came back from a session, I noticed
the results of his tenacity over the summer and proposed him a test shoot.

This took 3 or 4 minutes to setup and, since it was a test shoot, I didn't bother
to ask him to change.

But now that he saw the picture, he said: "We should redo this very soon!
Thanks dad…" and I got a big sweaty hug. I think I like him…

Thanks again!

Re-shoot it, it's a nice theme.. Very good!

really nice shot - lighting and the BW is fantastic. I agree with loosing the shorts but otherwise - great! he's quite well defined in muscle for someone who's just almost 15

The cropping for me is perfect as the bowstring and the bow limb come together. I wonder how this would look without the shorts, just the same shot indicating the archer is naked as it was in the original Olympics with the athletes competing nude.

Nice..Love the tones and lighting. The only thing that I might change is the crop, so that the framing the bow is more symmetrical. If there is any room at the top of the image I would expand and then on the bottom crop at the waist. Still a great image and would benefit a more lengthy session.
