Are these Purple Martins??

    These had the crap cropped out of them, so not the best quality. They're probably 10% crops.

  2. Steve I am fairly certain these are barn swallows.
     
  3. I think Dave is correct; those look like Barn Swallows to me as well.

    Barn Swallows are closely related to Purple Martins, though. I used to have a PM "hotel" when I lived in Texas, and I miss seeing them. They're fantastic bug-eaters, and just watching them going after their dinner can be fascinating!
