Thank you William! I posted some photos of it on August 26th. If you notice, the web looks different. Well, that's because it is. She (?) has eaten, and rebuilt the web at least 4 times since August 26th.

Yep, if they have good success catching bugs with a web they will keep it well
maintained, patch or replace if needed and keep it the same spot...

The sticky stuff loose its stickiness in a day or so. Spiders eat their web and
the silk (proteins) is recycled in the new web. So, even when not damaged,
the web is renewed everyday!

The spider had another butterfly caught in it's web yesterday. Today, the butterfly has been eaten, as before.
