Art Deco, Melbourne, Australia

Discussion in 'Landscapes, Architecture, and Cityscapes' started by bestgolfer, Aug 30, 2008.

  1. Visited this magnificent exhibition from the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, at our National Gallery in Melbourne.

I enjoyed it so much, I went back a second time.

Photo's inside the exhibition were not permitted.

Central Melbourne is full of a lot of great Art Deco buildings, most of which I have photographed.

Taken at Hastings, near Napier, which was almost flattened by the 1931 earthquake, and rebuilt in the Art Deco style.
