Giving a splash of color in a B&W image is a way of increasing tension and interest. You could further that in this image by croppin part of the left or the right off thus throwing the main subject (color) out of the center. I think this is a good attempt and one I will have to try.
Nicely done, Bryan. As Gordon mentions, off-centering will work wonderfully here.
