Yes Gary, a bit of overcast at times sure does help.

When I go to the St Augustine Rookery. That is tough shooting
Sometimes I never want to see another white bird.

nice shot, i like the composition a lot. i'm not sure what makes this "artsy" though.. i guess it's "artsy" in a sense that it has an interesting composition and as far as bird photos go i think it's successful.

Yes, I understand I can say that a White bird can change exposure by 1 stop by opening his wings!!!

I would call it Artsy as I spent a little more time on PP and Position on the bird added a little more symmetry and color.
