Asking for help on retouching flare

  1. This is one of my first sunsets and just don't know how to approch this problem:

    Subscribe to see EXIF info for this image (if available)

    How do you get rid of the smudges under left boat? Is flare the correct word?
  2. flare is correct.
    Clone it out from the close surrounding areas is one way to fix.

  5. Thanks, guys! I've tried different tools and can say that healing brush works best. I'll take the original in next days and work on it and post the final result. But I am already satisfied with edit on this resized image.
