Miami's zoo Asian aviary is one of my favorite places. Spent a wonderful morning today and met two other Nikon shooters (both with 70-200VR I and tripod). May have made new Cafe members as I was wearing a Cafe hat.

and this is one I have been chasing for over a year in that place and I could never get a decent shot. He likes to be in a backlit and dark corner. Impossible to shoot. Today, with a monopod and an SB-800 finally got three worth posting. I'm so happy!

A neat series with interesting birds and super shots. That last one is just awesome with the details. I'd love to visit that zoo some day, but your pictures always show the inhabitants in a stellar way. It's just like being there!
