A lot of $$, but who can argue with these results. I am happy to make photos like this, being the total amateur that I am. Sorry, one is not not "people". Let me know what you think.

Well here is what I think

    Excellent in every way.

  3. There is something magical here....you have some very nice perspectives, and your 'models' are definitely more receptive to having their pictures taken than many i've had to deal with :)
The eyes definitely help the pictures...and the others are just as good.
    Great job!

These are great. The kid shots are wonderful. I really like the perspective of the gull shots, very cool. Are these boys twins or really close siblings?

    Thanks for sharing,

  5. So, you are saying you like the lens;^)

Very nice captures Patrick. I like the sharp but not harsh renditions in what appears to have been quite bright light.

Thank you all very much. The boys are 15 mo apart. They are something else....

The 85 is the best outdoor kid lens on the planet.

The boys are so adorable and you captured them perfectly. Years down the road you will be so glad you spent the money on such a nice camera. I sure wish I had some photos like that of my girls when they were little.

  9. very nice work here. Good eye for appealing composition.

  10. Great photos of a nice day in the park. Thanks for sharing.

I feel the same way about the D2X. I'm a rank amateur. What am I doing owning this camera? Then I look at some of my pics and realize that it is worth it. When you get pics like yours from a fun day in the park, you wonder why you would bother with a lesser camera and lens.

Our boys are 14 months apart so I know what you mean!!! They are very handsome kids.

I loved the gull shot, btw!
