Atalaya Castle, Murrells Inlet, SC

On Huntington Beach State Park lies the remnants of Archer and Anna Huntington's castle. It is now little more than a shell, all the glass is gone from the windows and nothing remains in any of the rooms. It is quite interesting to walk through, however. It was the winter residence of Archer and Anna Huntington, who lived in Connecticut for the remainder of the year. You can read more about him and his wife here:

I shot several images of the Castle the other day with my 1969 vintage FTN, Tri-X and 28mm f/3.5 Nikkor-H and 50mm f/1.4 Nikkor S. That camera and those lenses still stand the test of time, as these images will attest. The negatives were scanned using my Nikon CoolScan 8000 ED scanner.

Pefectly exposed, processed and seen. As good as any digital posted. I will always keep my FE and F3HP with a few MF lenses.

Nothing wrong with the old Nikon lenses. I use some of them with my digital cameras without issues.
