in hindsight I would have cranked the ISO a bit to get a faster shutter speed. These were at about 1/250th. I'm not sure if they would have been better or not...I like how these convey the speed of the dog with the bit of blurring.

My own dog is a 12 year old lab. He's having a tough time getting up the stairs at night so that he can sleep beside my bed.

I have to assume that this dog was no more than about 2 years old...so fit and so athletic.

Nice set, Darren.

I'm starting to use slower shutter speeds for across-the-viewfinder dog shots and like the greater background blur along with a little subject motion. Sometimes freezing everything doesn't give the best results in terms of conveying the agility of the animal.

That is an impressive GSD.
