Atlantis liftoff

I was part of the merry gang hanging it Titusville for the shuttle launch after a few cocktails a world famous hamburger and some good laughs we all manned our guns and gave it he%^.
Here is the only one I have process yet.
Taken with the D2X and the 300 2.8 with 2X extender

Great shot Mike, aside from the grandeur of the liftoff, for some unknown reason, the water captures my eye. I notice the same in everyone else images as well. The water looks fierce or something, but whatever the case, it adds to the interest of the image. You all did a fantastic job capturing the launch.

Well, Mike, great stuff!! I totally froze up and forgot to change my AF from S to C :frown:epressed:redface:. So exposure fine focus, YUK. I will just have to make another launch and have my brain more organized, if that is possible. It was terrific meeting you:smile:.
