I ordered some nuts for my drop art kit that were the wrong size. Even so, they didn't go completely to waste, as I had fun photographing them.

Photo of the Setup
The background, which is not displayed in this setup photo, is black velvet that was reflected in the tabletop made of black, glossy, opaque acrylic. Ignore the white fabric, as it had no impact on the scene, which was photographed with a macro lens. The large lamp lit the overall scene and the white reflector, which redirected bright light onto the top of the nuts. The three flashlights brightened very small areas of the subjects that otherwise were too dark. Thirty focus-bracketed images at CamRanger step size Small were stacked in Helicon Focus at its default settings.

This is really well done.
It takes a master to make art out of a couple of pieces of hardware.
For many people art only exists- if it exists for them at all- in a gallery or a museum.
It is the lucky ones that realize art is everywhere.
