B&H Finally Has the Sigma 50-500mm DG!

    How's the optical quality on this lens (either DG or non DG, they should be pretty similar)?

    It's too bad they couldn't see fit to add OS to this lens (or HSM to the 80-400 OS).

    I really hope the Sigma Bigma is everything they say - and more - because I just bought one......

    I needed something long for a late August Alaska cruise.....

    What is the 'DG' designation and is it better than the non-DG model?
  4. Can anybody do comparisons with the old Bigma vs. the New DG Bigma? I bought mine for about $650 and for the price/performance ratio on the used market, makes this a killer lens!

    Bigma is right. Over 4 pounds.
