B/W vs Color vs Neither

Discussion in 'People' started by rustyfingers, Jul 11, 2007.

  1. One from last night:

    Any comments are welcome

  2. The BW version has great tonality; I see a little bit of a blue cast in the 2nd one.

  3. bw though i wish she were looking up at the camera. very lovely otherwise!!!
  4. Excellent tonality in the B&W, that would be my choice. Your second image may be even better if it were warmed up a little.
  5. the b&w is by far the best. i see the blue tone in the color also
  6. I'm not a B&W fan but in this shot it works out well!

She is cute! I love the 1st one!
  10. Thanks everyone.

I guess the reason the color isn't working is because of the blue cast on the dress. I'll work on that and see if I can't get it straightened out.

Thanks again, you folks are priceless.

Put me down for the B&W. She's a very pretty little girl BTW.
  12. BW works well for this nice shot of the young lady.

Black and white for me! nice job on the PP
  14. I would choose the black and white. Even if you "corrected" the blue cast on the color one, the black and white one is much more intimate. To me anyway.
  15. I'll go out onto the skinny branches by myself on this but I prefer the colour version as the top of the dress is so bright, it fights for too much attention in the BW version. If the colour cast is fixed in the second shot, it's the best IMHO.

    The B&W is a winner.
