Hello folks;

it's been a while since I visited this forum.... about eight years or so. But I picked up my camera again recently. I purchased a new D850 to complement/replace my aging but still perfectly working D700.

My objective? Wildlife and landscape. For wildlife, I added a Sigma 150-600 to my lens collection. Here's an example of my first walk with this lens, on the D850.

At first I opted for the 100-400, but I soon found out that 400 mm is not long enough for small bird photography, so I returned the lens end changed it for the 150-600. Lens is quite a bit heavier, but with a decent strap that is no problem.

A roebuck; not shy at all....

A black woodpecker with the 100-400. Very shy, could only take one decent shot.

Now hoping for some nice spring weather to be able to take some more pictures!

Welcome back! Nice photos to share with your return. I too still have my ol D700 but it’s been retired since I bought the D500, and now that body sits idle since I bought the D850 which is a awesome Camera that’s so versatile.
