Backyard Day Lily

Discussion in 'Macro, Flowers, Insects, and Greenery' started by lanthier, Jun 19, 2011.

  1. Hi All,

Not been able to post much due to elbow injury and work... Felt so rusty! Today was able to take advantage of some good light and free time to photo my annual beauty day lilies. There were supposed to be re-bloomers, but thus far no luck. They are gorgeous and smell even better... Handheld, D700 with 105VR (VR on), ISO 200...

    1) f5, 1/160 (heat pump in BG.... ACK!!!!! )

Great shots Rich! Great examples of the performance of Nikon pro glass!

  4. Beautiful images!

  5. Thanks all for the comments. Takeda: the 105VR was the reason I switched to Nikon. Still one of my favorite lenses...

Razor sharp in the razor thin DOF. Nicely done. #1 has fab composition. Love it.

Love the composition of #1 and the softness of #3. Gotta love the 105!
