The California Sea Lions are found along the coasts of many of the small islands in the Sea of Cortes.
Most of these are shot from a moving zodiac:
The haul out onto the rocks and can climb up fairly high:
They lie in the sun to dry off and warm up:
The large males noisily defend a harem of females:
Or just hang around looking tough:
At Los Islotes we had a chance to snorkle with them (the Olympus 770SW in action underwater without a housing):
