A few shots from Anchor Point, a short 15 miles outside of Homer, AK.
The # of Eagles there at low tide was amazing. So many on the beach, on the logs by the beach, so many and you could walk right by them, 20 feet or so away, and they would not fly off.

    All shot with D850/500PF combo

Wow! Great shooting! The sharpness and action in the first one is amazing!

  3. Nice shooting, Karl. I love the second and last shots for the positions of the birds. The static shot ain't bad either. Well done.

  4. Very well done, what a beautiful series Karl.

I was learning to shoot with the 500PF on the 850.. while the 850 is not as fast as the D500, the 500PF marries very well to the 850...

the 850 and the 500PF.. with some crop grabbed this fly by...

  8. That's a good place. Good open areas with clean BGs.
