German Festival Get your lederhosen out of the closet, pack the kids into the minivan and head over to the Maryland State Fairgrounds for a two-day celebration of all things German. The 108th German Festival features live entertainment, including traditional dancing and folk singing; children's entertainment, including a puppet show and a rockclimbing wall; crafts; German food; imported and domestic beer; and more. Visitors can view and purchase dozens of works, which include photographs, acrylic and oil paintings, drawings, mixed-media pieces and sculpture. This will be the 25th anniversary parade featuring more than 140 pieces of new and antique fire apparatus from all over the eastern seaboard. The parade route skirts the Baltimore Inner Harbor along Key Highway and Light Street as it makes its way to the reviewing stand at the Baltimore Convention Center behind the Hyatt Hotel on Charles Street.
