Last summer while driving through Mingo National Wildlife Refuge this barred owl flew across the road right in front of me. It landed in the shade less than 30 feet from the car and proceeded to sit and watch me. I had never had this much cooperation from this species in the past.

Thanks Karen. He/She flew a couple of times but stayed close each time. I was even able to SLOWLY leave the car and rest the lens on the roof.

  13. Nicely done, my friend. Exposure dead on, full resolution. focus on the eyes. The eyes have it and make these images pop! A most cooperative owl indeed.
