  2. I shot these with the Kenko Pro 300 2X TC on my 80-200 2.8. I may have lost some IQ?

    Fred, some look a little blurry to me like they're not as sharp as they could be...I think you need a 300 f/4 or a 300 f/2.8. :biggrin:

    I suspect the 2X TC is difficult. My results are spotty.

    Just remember than when you go to 400mm (or 600mm equivalent with the 1.5x crop factor) you need to make sure your shutter speed is compensated. So I would not use less than a 1/1250s shutter speed when the 2x if you're zoomed all the way to 200mm. This will help you eliminate shake...or should help anyway.

    I think you're right. Maybe a TC 1.4 is more to the point.
