I'm getting a new computer next week. All of my versions of Photoshop up to CS3 have been upgrades, except for Version 4. Can anyone tell me exactly what I will need to go through to get CS3 onto my new machine? It will have Vista installed.

    Thanks in advance.

If memory serves, you just install CS3 and it will ask for the previous license key during the installation to check if this upgrade is valid. I'm not sure how far back it goes, i.e. if you need to have all the keys available during installation. But basically that's how it works.

  3. CS 3 upgrades from v.5, v.6, v.7, CS and CS 2....... So if in essence you're upgrading from v.4 it sounds to me as though you will have to start all over again with CS3.
  4. Arn't computers just wonderful? I love the way they make it so expensive.

My upgrades are all from Photoshop 1 on 3.5 inch disk. I am using X64 and cannot install the earlier versions to do the upgrade. I did find a work around and will PM you with it.

Just thought I'd let you know how the installation went.

    1. I used my CS3 upgrade CD.

    2. Was asked for the upgrade Ser. No.

    3. Was asked for the serial number for version 7, which had been an upgrade.

    That was it!

Thanks to all for your help.
