Basic text editing in CS3?

I have just upgraded from Elements to CS3. I am trying to do the simplest thing. I just want to add text to a photo. My text is tiny no matter what I do. I mean tiny. Looks like subscript (but that is not on in my settings). What setting could possibly be off here?

p.s. Other than here, what forum do you go to for a quick answer to a Photoshop question?

Thanks in advance!

Quick fix

Click on text layer...make sure it is selected

Go to the edit>free transform tool

Simply grab a corner of the selected text and pull to the size you want....

Hope that helps.

Not sure why you need to do it like this as setting the font to the desired size should work?

Here isa great place for Photoshop questions.....

I am sure many more will reply

Best wishes

Thanks Ray! I should have thought of that. I will give it a try!

p.s. I wish I could figure out what the issue is with the text. I used a filter on the layer immediately below. Wonder if that has anything to do with it?

Are you selecting the size of the text in the box at the top of the page before you type or after?
