Batteries for V2 and V3

Does anyone know or have a reliable source that addresses inter-changability of EN-EL 20 and EN-EL 20A? In other words, will the EN-EL 20 operate properly in the V3?

Yes, it works fine. I use both in my V3.

That is good to know. Now when I upgrade to a V3 I'll have extra batteries that work.

Not to change the subject (much), but is there any chance that the J5 battery (EN-EL24) is 'backwards compatible' with the EN-EL-20? They look very similar, but I haven't tried to fit either in the other camera.

The battery for the N1V2 is a EN-EL21 and for the N1V3 is a EN-EL 20a which is a smaller battery. They are not interchangable.

However, that was not the question. Just for info, the battery for the J1 & S1 is the EN-EL 20 and the battery for the V3 is the EN-EL 20a. I have both so that was a credible question. In other words, will my EN-EL 20's work in my V3. The answer is yes as answered by Dano.
