Does anyone have any moderately priced battery grip recommendations for the D300? Thanks,

    Jonny

I have a Nikon MBD10 grip but I am still waiting for my D300. I had a less expensive grip (Zikonos?) but I returned it for the Nikon grip. I have seen the Zikonos grip for about $120 while the Nikon MBD10 sells for about $260. The Nikon MBD10 has one battery in the grip with the second battery in the camera. As I recall, the Zikonos grip for the D300 has 2 batteries in the grip--it also has an switch so that the user can switch batteris but it can also be switched in the camera controls. I didn't use it before returning it.

My local store allowed me to fasten an MB-D10 to my D300(haven't had the money to buy one yet).

I fell in love with the thing.

Plus if you get the En-EL4's or use eight, yes 8, AA batteries you get 8FPS.
