For the past couple of weeks our beach has been invaded by starfish. Apparently they must migrate or something because for weeks there were none and now there are hundreds of them on the beach at low tide. Two different types.

Cellphone shots with a Galaxy S10 at 85mm equivalent FL.

And these two at the "standard" FL.

4) This is a different type of starfish and they bury themselves in the sand. Presumably to survive the low tide.

Terrific compositions
Thanks, Randy. One nice thing about shooting with a cell phone is that there's nothing else to do but concentrate on the composition.
Very interesting and nicely photographed! Great compositions!
Thanks, Karen.
Great shooting Dan.
Thanks, Louie.
Pretty neat. I did not they were under sand. I like the one with the green best.
Number 3 looks like the logo of a company in Florida that puts on running races.
Yes I like the splash of color as well. Based on a quick google search it seems some species of starfish normally bury themselves like this.
