It is Mrs BoS's birthday today. I woke her up to a new Vera Bradley purse with donuts and coffee. I woke the kid up and we took a sunrise walk along the North Beach of Fort Desoto.

I have been on a cloud/landscape picture tear as of late. With all the rain....the Florida skies are a deep blue with lots of clouds.

Hi Brian, these are a really nice series of shots...
Love the 3rd shot showing the footsteps in the sand.

Got ask, what lens did you use as in the 2nd shot,
the water horizon has curvature in it, dipping in the center...???

Thanks for all the very kind comments. The pics were all handheld using my D300 with my "walkabout" lens...the Nikkor 18-200 VRII lens.

The funny part? I have received more comments on the quick snap pic of the heron than of the other pics that were planned.:biggrin::biggrin:

wow, the rainbow shot really impresses me. Well, they're all great, but I especially like the rainbow one.
