I am in no way a macro shooter. I was out wandering today testing a new lens- 135mm f1.8.
Cloudy day gave some really nice light.
I rarely play with shallow depth of field, but that was one of my goals today.
Pretty much straight out of camera- using dxo as my raw processor.
Might even print this one.

Thanks for the kind words. I find it amazing how often I am out looking to shoot one thing, and “accidentally” find something else to shoot. I was out to photograph egret, but pickings were slim. Wandering around I watched a couple of bees, and ending up shooting these guys for 30min or so. I need to remember to keep my eyes and brain open for whatever presents itself.

That's what I do a lot of times: I set out on a walk and try to just look at anything and everything and when something catches my fancy, I lift the camera to my eye and shoot.... sometimes I'll come home with something really cool and unexpected, other times not so much so, but keeping myself open to observation of everything around me really can pay off.
