Bees on Capri

  1. Had a walk around the "Giardini di Augusto" this morning and although the bees were well outnumbered by camera wielding tourists I managed to get the following with my D300 and Sigma 150mm 2.8.

Are those carpenter bees? They look the same as those I saw in the Maldives save for those being black. Nice shots though!

    Cheers!

  3. What is a carpenter bee? One that builds its own hive

Sorry I do not know what type of bee they are, but I'm glad you like the photos

This was one of the giant carpenter bees in the Maldives, which is quite similar, especiallty the eyes have a similar pattern, which was what made me ask :)
