Before the Storm

    My first upload, so all comments and criticisms welcome.

    I drove ahead of the storm, so I had about 5 mins to get a couple of shots. Taken with the D50 and the 18-55.

    Excellent shot and with a d50. this is better that some pics that Ive seen from d300 and d3

  11. Excellent composition and a great shot.
    For my taste I would have cloned the yellow flower in the foreground. Being so bright it commands attention and distracts from the main subject.
    Just my opinion.

    That flower is a bone of contention, some people like it some dont! Personally I have no idea, with some views I like it then the next time I look it annoys me. I've also done it in mono
    019a.jpg , in which it really did need cloning out for sure.

    The color photo is very vivid, yet still looks realistic to me. It looks kinda like an HDR. I think the flower is distracting in the black & white, but adds a little to the color version.
