Berea Ky Craft Festival: Seven photos

I spent a portion of my Saturday at the local car show and arts and craft festival. These are a few of my better ones.

The young man is a folk dancer and the lovely lady provided music for the performing dance troop. I caught them during a break.

a "painted" quality to it

I love those types of festivals There is always ample photo op.

Regarding the first 2 pictures, if I may, perhaps you should soften the brush you used on the bg so that it merges better with the subject. They are absolutely wonderful pictures, the outline of the subjects draw too much on the eyes though.

On the second image did you apply some sort of filter, or did you cut and paste the image?

The first and second could both use a lighter blur, it's too obviously photoshop. Good shots regardless though.

Thanks for all the C&C. It goes a long way in making one a better photographer. It was a very bright and sunny day. Most of the exhibitors displayed their merchandise in white tents. The backgrounds were super white with lots of blinkies in the D300 review screen.

I didn't use photoshop. Just Nikon CX2 and the Gaussian Blur tool at 100 percent to tone down the background and clone out the bystanders.
